Gavan F. Meehan joined Cowdery, Ecker & Murphy, L.L.C. in 2008 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Ellen Ash Peters, retired Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court.
Mr. Meehan came to the legal profession after more than a decade of work in the urban ministry field. He graduated with Honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2007, where he received the ALI-ABA Scholarship and Leadership Award and the University of Connecticut Law School Foundation Award for Outstanding Service to the School. He is also the recipient of the 2007 Equal Justice Works LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell Exemplary Public Service Award, and the 2007 Connecticut Higher Education Community Service Award.
Mr. Meehan holds a Master of Divinity, cum laude, from Yale Divinity School and is a Scholar of Harvard College, where he graduated cum laude in History in 1994. He is a 1990 graduate of the American School in London.
