Our firm was founded in 1984 as Chatigny & Palmer by Robert N. Chatigny and Richard N. Palmer. In 1991, James T. Cowdery joined the firm, having previously served as Chief of the Criminal Division in the United States Attorney's Office. He was joined in 1994 by Steven D. Ecker, who had previously practiced in a New Haven litigation firm. In 1997, Thomas J. Murphy joined after seven years as an Assistant United States Attorney.
Over the past two decades, our firm and its predecessors have represented individuals and business entities in a broad range of civil, regulatory and criminal investigations, litigations, trials, and appeals in both state and federal settings. Our diverse practice includes disputes involving business torts and commercial fraud, government contracting and procurement, health care, the environment, public corruption, computer-related claims and crimes, professional liability and licensing matters, personal injury and wrongful death, banking, securities, taxation and antitrust.
